क्षमा की रात या पापों से मुक्ति की रात

यह इस्लामी चंद्र माह शाबान के 14वें और 15वें दिन के बीच की रात है।
इसे ‘निस्फ़ शाबान’ (मध्य शाबान) के नाम से जाना जाता है।

यह प्रार्थना करने और क्षमा मांगने की रात है। इस रात को इबादत में बिताने की कोशिश करनी चाहिए।

युवाओं को इस रात मनोरंजन के लिए पटाखे नहीं फोड़ना चाहिए और न ही दोपहिया वाहन दौड़ाना चाहिए।

यहाँ 15 शाबान की रात की फजीलत पर कुछ सहीह (प्रामाणिक) हदीसें दी गई हैं।

हदीस 1

इब्ने हिब्बान ने अपनी सहीह में मुआज़ इब्न जबल से निम्नलिखित रिवायत बयान की है, जिसे हदीस के विद्वान और सहीह शुऐब अरनऊत के संपादक ने सही बताया है:

पैगम्बर साहब ने कहा: ” यदि तुम एक नेक इंसान हो, तो अल्लाह से प्रार्थना करो और अल्लाह से क्षमा मांगो।”

अल्लाह मध्य शाबान की रात में अपनी सृष्टि को देखता है और वह अपनी सृष्टि के उन सभी लोगों को जो माफी के तलबगार हैं क्षमा कर देता है सिवाय मुशरिक (मूर्तिपूजक) या एक मुशाहिन (घृणा करने वाला) के।

1) इब्न हिब्बान (अल्लाह उन पर रहिमहुल्लाह) ने इस हदीस को सहीह माना है।

2) तथा इब्न हजर अल-हयतामी (अल्लाह उन पर रहिमहुल्लाह) ने कहा: “यह हदीस अल-तबरानी (अल्लाह उन पर रहिमहुल्लाह) ने अल-मुअज्जम अल-कबीर और अल-औसत में वर्णित की है और दोनों के प्रस्तुत कर्ता विश्वसनीय हैं” (थिकात) (इब्न हजर अल-हयतामी: मजमा अल-ज़वायद 8/65)
3) वर्तमान समय के महान हदीस विद्वान, शेखा शुऐब अल-अर्नाउत (रह.) और स्वयंभू वहाबी हदीस विद्वान नसीरुद्दीन अल-अल्बानी ने भी इस हदीस को ‘सहीह’ माना है।

हदीस 2
सहाबी अब्दुल्लाह बिन अम्र (अल्लाह उन पर प्रसन्न हो) से संबंधित एक और समान हदीस है, जिसमें कहा गया है कि पैगंबर (सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि वसल्लम) ने कहा: “अल्लाह 15 शाबान की रात के दौरान अपनी कायनात को देखता है और वह अपने बंदों को माफ कर देता है, सिवाय दो के – एक जो नफरत करने वाला (मुशनिन) और एक हत्यारा (कातिलु नफ्स)।
(संदर्भ: मुसनद अहमद 2/176 #6642. अल-बज़ार ने भी इस हदीस को संदर्भित किया और उन्होंने इसे ‘हसन’ के रूप में वर्गीकृत किया।)
टिप्पणी :
शेख अहमद शाकिर ने अपने मुसनद अहमद संस्करण में इस हदीस को ‘सहीह’ और नसीरुद्दीन अल-अल्बानी ने इसे ‘हसन’ के रूप में वर्गीकृत किया है।

हदीस 3
उपरोक्त के समान एक कथन, लेकिन अबू बक्र सिद्दीक रजि० द्वारा वर्णित। हाफ़िज़ अल-मुन्ज़िरी (आरए) ने अपने अल-तरगीब (खंड 3 पृष्ठ 459) में इसे सही के रूप में वर्गीकृत किया है। यह हज़रत अबू बक्र (रज़ियल्लाहु अन्हु) की रिवायत है और इमाम बज़्ज़ार (रज़ियल्लाहु अन्हु) ने अपनी मुसनद में इसे दर्ज किया है। वास्तव में, हाफ़िज़ इब्न हजर रह० ने भी इसकी एक श्रृंखला को हसन के रूप में वर्गीकृत किया है। (अल-अमालील मुतलका पृष्ठ 119-1)

एक महत्वपूर्ण नोट:
15 शाबान की फ़ज़ीलत के बारे में बताने वाली सभी कमज़ोर हदीसों में सिर्फ़ मामूली कमज़ोरी है। हदीस के उसूल के मुताबिक ये कमज़ोर हदीसें एक दूसरे को मज़बूत भी करती हैं।

The night of forgiveness or the night of freedom from sins .

It is the night between the 14th and 15th day of the Islamic lunar month called Sha’ban.

It is known as ‘nisf shaban’ ( mid- Shaban)

It is the night of praying and asking forgiveness. One should try to spend this night in ibadah.

Youths should not burst crackers or ride two wheelers as a fun on this night.

In India, the night following 13th Feb 2025 (Thursday) is shab-e- bara’at.

Here are a few Sahih (Authentic) Hadith on the merits on the Night of 15 th of Shaba’an.

Hadith 1

Ibn Hibban narrated from Mu`adh ibn Jabal in his Sahih the following narration which the hadith scholar and editor of the Sahih Shu`ayb Arna’ut confirmed as sound:
The Prophet said : yattali`u Allahu ila khalqihi fi laylati al-nisfi min sha`bana fa-yaghfiru li-jami`i khalqihi illa li mushrikin aw mushahin.
Allah looks at His creation in the night of mid-Sha`ban and He forgives all His creation except for a mushrik (idolater) or a mushahin (one bent on hatred).

1)Ibn Hibban (May Allaah have mercy on him) considered this Hadith to be Sahih.

2)And Ibn Hajr Al-Haytami (May Allaah have mercy on him) said: “This Hadith is related by Al-Tabarani (May Allaah have mercy on him) in Al-Mu’jam Al-Kabir and Al-Awsat and the narrators of both are trustworthy”(thiqat) ( Ibn Hajar Al-Haytami: Majma’ Al-Zawaid 8/65)

3)The great hadith scholar of the present time , Shaykah Shuayb Al-Arna’uat ( Rh) and the self claimed Wahabi hadith scholar Nasiruddin Al-Albani, have also considered this Hadith as ‘Sahih’.

Hadith 2

There is another identical Hadith related from the Companion Abdullah b.’Amr (May Allaah be pleased with him) which says that the Prophet(Sallalahu Alaihi Wassalam) said: “Allah looks at His creation during the night of the 15th of Sha’ban and He forgives His servants except two- one intent on hatred (mushanin) and a murderer (qatilu nafs).

( Ref : Musnad Ahmad 2/176 #6642. Al-Bazzar also related this Hadith and he classified it as ‘hasan’. )

Note :
In his edition of Musnad Ahmed, Shaykh Ahmed Shakir has classified this Hadith as’Sahih’ and Nasiruddin Al-Albany classified it is ‘Hasan’

Hadith 3

A similar narration as above , but narrated by Abu Bakr Siddiq Rd .

It has been classified as sound by Haafiz al-Munzhiri (RA) in his al-Targheeb (vol.3 pg.459). This narration is of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (Radhiallaahu Anhu) and is recorded by Imaam Bazzaar (RA) in his Musnad. In fact, Hafiz ibn Hajar (RA) has also classified one of its chains as Hasan (sound). An important Note:

All the weak hadith which talks about the merits of 15th of Shaba’an, have got only minor weakness in them. Going by the principle of hadith, these weak hadiths also strengthen each other.
